Interested book; "ok go Tokyo"

Last Sunday, I went to the book store and found a book with nice graphic cover. "ok go Tokyo", this book is about art, designs and cultures in Tokyo. The authors are designers who go to learn about design in Japan. So cute... :)









This is Fukasawa Naoto's brand. He's famous product designer. I really like his works, modern, simplicity and also practical. I think he has been designing his works by philosophical of zen.
Plus Minus Zero, I wannna go there. :)

My furniture designed for ' a n y r o o m '.

'Posy'
A light pendant with a flower design. Bendable leaves can be adjusted so this group of posies will appear blossom though out the different season. The pendant made of stainless steel and suitable for interior lighting. Reccomed to display in large bouqute.

'Malibu'

A basic design character of 'Malibu' is an easy and simple sense of the seaside. The simplicity of natural materials, wood and leather, are the harmony of human life and nature. Malibu combinds the messages of love, life and design.

I had took time to studies the structures of wood, materials and details for this project many months. Finally, I had work on this project so hard that its composition cannot change. It might not be the best project of my life because many case studies teach me know-how the ways to design. "

Design process :

After I finalise my concept design, I try to find beautiful dimension by hand sketch, 3ds computer programs and then mock up the scale models.

This is actual size paper mock up to check the another structure, but failed.

I mock up the actual size model with hard wood, to check possibility of structure, strength, dimension and what anything else will occur.

'New York'

At first, I give name Trapezoid, but change to be 'New York' already! Anyway, this is coffee table with marble top and two stainless steel structure legs. Its leg structure inspired by folding paper which can supporting various of top sizes. It seems unstable but it does't!
